The Global Logistics Convention is an annual freight logistics event of the Federation of East African Freight Forwarders Associations (FEAFFA). This year, the convention is scheduled to take place in Uganda and is being organized by Uganda Freight Forwarders Association (UFFA) under the National Logistics Platform in collaboration with the Ministry of Works and Transport as well as Uganda Revenue Authority among other Government agencies. The convention is supported by the United Kingdom’s department for International Development (DFID), through Trademark East Africa (TMEA). It is the second edition of the Global Logistics Conference (GLC) that followed the 2017 successful inaugural edition in Dar es salaam, Tanzania.
The event offers a unique opportunity to share best practice in trade and policy, to engage with a wide range of stakeholders, and to redefine, the changing roles, responsibilities and emerging trends in the development of Transport and Trade Logistics as a driver for productivity and competitiveness.
It will bring on board participants from top performing countries in Logistics (based on LPI). It provides an opportunity for the public, private sector, development partners and the civil society to promote mutual understanding and create a shared course of action. It also comes as at time when the Continental Free Trade Area for Africa is beginning to take shape
